Calling ALL Hispanic / Caucasian mix potential BONE MARROW DONORS

THE PROBLEM

Aaron has MYELODYSPLASTIC SYNDROME. (MDS) This is like leukemia, only worse. The only cure for MDS is a bone marrow transplant. Aaron will die if he does not get a transplant.

The bone marrow registry contains more than 10 million potential donors. Because tissue type is inherited, matches are most likely made with someone from a similar racial and ethnic background. In Aaron's case, mom (Lynne) is Caucasian and dad (Art) is Mexican American. . Very few donors in the registry are Hispanic/Caucasian mix. This creates a BIG problem.

THE SOLUTION

Aaron needs a donor of a similar ethnic mix. . You could be the exact one Aaron needs. Everyone is encouraged to become a bone marrow donor, and everyone is welcome at these drives to register and get tested. Find a Bone marrow drive in your area
