Aarons only hope of survival is to find a bone marrow donor. The only problem is that the chance of a match is rare, mainly because there aren't many ethnically mixed (one parent is Hispanic or Latino and the other parent is Caucasian) registered on the national registry. Only that genetic mix can help Aaron. That is why we are doing this drive to sign up as many POTENTIAL donors as possible.
The registration process is extremely simple. All you have to do is to fill out a form and give a sample of your saliva. It will take 10 minutes of your personal time but you could actually save a child's life. This is completely free, NO cost is involved if you have at least 25% ethnic ancestry. ANY potential donor will be tested for free by Red Cross, blood banks etc., IF they are at least 25% minority in genetic make-up. ANYONE of ANY genetic make-up will be bone marrow tested for FREE if they, at the same time, donate a unit of blood.
